What is Marine Engineering?

Marine Engineering refers to the application of engineering sciences, including electrical and mechanical and computer science, to develop, design, operate, and maintain ships and other watercraft.

Marine Engineers combine knowledge from engineering to design and produce water vehicles. Marine Engineers may also be involved in the design and maintenance of offshore oil rigs. They can also work on energy projects such as wind turbines offshore or tidal power.

We need more Marine Engineers who will make a difference in the marine industry, especially young black people. Let us come together and encourage our youth to pursue a career in marine engineering.

Responsibilities of an Engineering Consultant
