President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced the extension of Alert Level 4 lockdown for another 14 days (until 25 July 2021), with some changes to the current restrictions.

These changes include:

⚠️ Restaurants and other eateries may reopen. Such establishments may not accommodate more than 50 people at a time or, for smaller venues, more than 50% of their normal capacity.

⚠️ Schools to reopen on 26 July.

⚠️ Gyms and fitness centres may reopen.

⚠️ Alcohol sales on-site or off-site consumption remains prohibited.

⚠️ The curfew is still in place from 21:00 - 04:00.

The Unemployment Insurance Fund has decided to extend the Covid-19 TERS scheme to businesses that have been impacted by the adjusted level 4 lockdown. The full details of the businesses and sectors that qualify will be published in a gazette shortly.
