John Wesley Preschool partnered with Kids Haven to commemorate Child Protection Week. The event provided learners with an opportunity to unite with peers from the partner school through child protection-themed activities. Teachers and support staff also engaged and interacted to strengthen professional relationships. The school extends its appreciation to Kids Haven for their participation in this meaningful event. Such collaborative initiatives play a vital role in promoting child safety awareness and fostering a culture of care within the school community.

Child Protection Week is important because it raises awareness among learners, educators, and parents about children’s rights to safety, dignity, and protection from abuse and neglect as outlined in Section 28 of the Constitution. For preschools the week creates a platform to educate young children through age-appropriate activities, equip teachers with knowledge on identifying and reporting abuse, and strengthen partnerships with organizations like Kids Haven. Events of this nature contribute to building safer learning environments and reinforce the shared responsibility of schools and communities in protecting vulnerable children.
