Our modern world struggles with the idea of a devil but the Bible makes it clear that a war between good and evil is raging all around us. There is a devil and he has an army that is working to gain our allegiance. Watch out for him. Don’t let him devour you. Follow God’s way and you will stay safe from the enemy.

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don't recognize that we are God's children because they don't know him. 1 John 3:1

As an earthly father, we are reflections to our children of their heavenly Father. If you love your child, show them how much you love them through your expression of love. Spend time with them in their interests, extend your approval when you are proud of them, and affirm your support of them. Our heavenly Father lavishes His love on us, we can do the same for our children. Through you, they can recognize their heavenly Father.

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise Him again; my Saviour and my God! Psalms 42:11

Discouragement is common. Often our circumstances do not match our expectations. What are we to do when life seemingly does not go our way? We put our hop
e in Jesus! We give Him praise even when we can’t see how the story is going to go. We call out in worship in the midst of the storm.

God's way is perfect. All the Lord's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection. Psalm 18:30

God doesn't require us to be perfect. We often get caught up running around working to be a complete example of God's perfection. Actually, not being perfect is better. In our lack of perfection, we depend exclusively on God's grace to get by. Imperfection reveals our need for Him in our lives. If you are walking through today feeling like you just aren't able to do anything right, it's okay. He will cover us with His love and grace.
