TERRA FIRMA gets the green light

Following months of no sporting events, Waterra is excited to announce their new Terra Firma Trail Running Series.

Building on their experience hosting very successful Obstacle Course Races, the hosts of Waterra will be staging a trail running event every month in KZN, for the next 10 months.

Waterra has negotiated access to fantastic venues that will offer 5-7km, 10-12km and 18-22km trails to provide the opportunity for social runners to challenge their friends and family while offering the more competitive runners in all age categories to compete with their peers. A series winner will be crowned in each distance and age group.

Waterra has partnered with the Reach For A Dream Foundation as their charity of choice and participants will be pleased to know that when entering, a portion of their entry fee will go towards supporting the “Reach for A Dream Foundation”.

The inaugural event will be taking place at the very popular Phezulu Safari Park and Estate on the 27th of March 2021. Entries are limited to 250 participants.

All participants will be timed using the new RaceTec Toolkit and FinishTime Passport, this is a seamless competitor-orientated app created to make registration safe, secure and efficient and compliant will all current Level 1 requirements.

Thirsti Water will be providing post race refreshments.

A leader board will be available online with a Prize giving ceremony for the series winners for each age category at the final event. (for info on entries, age categories and trail running series rules please visit our www.waterra.co.za web page)

NB: Should any event be cancelled participants will have the option to move their entry to a later event or receive a refund (less Entry Ninja Admin fee)

In the true spirit of Uitsoek Mountain Marathon where pretty much anything goes, we decided in a 2 minute meeting 2 minutes ago that entries are now officially open for the 2019 Uitsoek Mountain Marathon. The race is nailing the spot on the 12th of October, and yes... we know that it is Otter weekend and Mutter and all that Jazz, and quite frankly we dont care either. We just better in our own special way.
