THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIPS INCREASE YOUR WISDOM

Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life. Anyone who teaches something different is arrogant and lacks understanding. Such a person has an unhealthy desire to quibble over the meaning of words. This stirs up arguments ending in jealousy, division, slander, and evil suspicions.

These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. - 1 Timothy 6:3-6

*Who are your friends? What do your friends teach you? And what about that someone in your life you claim to love? Are they teaching you wisdom?

Its sad how relationships have lost their true meaning in today's society. Everyone has their own agenda and maybe that's why we struggle to really define friendship and most importantly love. The Word of God has taught me a whole lot about realtionships especially about the relationships that are for His glory and not for my own gain.

The whole theory about "birds of a feather flock together" in most cases is true because the company you keep is ultimately who you become. And one rotten apple contaminates and ruins the whole batch,if it is not removed immediately. Choose your relationships wisely, if you have nothing to gain from them mentally and spiritually, if they do not lead you to true godly wisdom then you have nothing to lose when you let them go. Its hard yes, but we are put on this earth for God's glory and no one else. That's why a relationship with God is the most important and most fulfilling relationship you will ever have.

Thank you Father for the people around me who increase my wisdom and always point me towards you. Bless them in wisdom so they can continue to bless others as they lead them also to godly living for your glory. Amen.

THE WISDOM OF GOD IS FOOLISHNESS TO THE NATURAL MIND.

And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. - 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

*Our thoughts are nothing compared to the thoughts of God. We as humans tend to limit ourselves when we do things by our wisdom. And that limitation at times creates a loophope for the devil to throw in a lie or two to make us feel useless. But when you rely on God's wisdom nothing and no one can break your spirit, determination and focus. We forget that it is God who gave us our desires and we can only unleash them by focusing our thoughts on trusting God and focusing our thoughts on all that is positive and good. That is the beginning of not thinking with your natural mind but with the mind of God. The mind of God which has ALL the power to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Those are the thoughts we should aim to possess instead of relying on our understanding which always either ruins things or gets us into trouble.

Father, forgive me for the times I lean on my own understanding. It limits me and I know you did not create me to think small. Fill me with your thoughts as I trust in You with my entire being. Thank you that my mind belongs to you and because of that I believe that only greatness will follow. Amen.

THE WORD OF GOD IS ABLE TO MAKE YOU WISE UNTO SALVATION

You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. - 2 Timothy 3:15

*This scripture reminds me of a song I learnt in Sunday School and the lyrics read:

"Jesus loves me!
This I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak but He is strong.

Jesus loves me!
Loves me still,
Tho I'm very weak and ill,
That I might from sin be free,
Bled and died upon the tree."

No matter how old I am that song always puts a smile on my face. :)

Thank you Lord for loving me through all my days good and bad, when I am at my worst and when I am at my best. Thank you that your love sees beyond my flaws and that you have been given unto us to set us free from all our wrongs. Amen.
