On the 12th of December 2024, Remo Ministries had its first outreach. We visited God is faithful orphanage in Ikageng, Potchefstroom in the North West province. The purpose of this visit was to host a Christmas party for the children living there. We bought them each brand new clothes and toys. We brought a jumping castle and had a popcorn machine as well. Boerewors rolls were the meal of the day with popsicles as dessert. Most children in the orphanage go through life never having brand new clothes or anything new. Everything is always second hand. We also wanted to give them the feel of having new Christmas clothes. However, once we got there, we noticed far worse conditions than we’d hoped. The children are living in horrible conditions and the caretaker struggles to provide enough food daily for the children. We as Remo Ministries have pledged to help out where we can and plan to go back there to improve the living situation.
