BAKERY & KITCHEN GENERAL ASSISTANT

wanted for busy Bakery with restuarant in Pine street, Durban central.

The position will mainly work in the bakery, but will also be required to rotate to the kitchen to assist when other staff are off.

• Must have a minimum 1½-3+ years' Bakery experience.
• Kitchen experience preferred.
• Confectionary and sweet treats knowledge advantageous.
• Must have prior knowledge and experience with all bakery production items such as buns, breads, cakes and other typical baked bakery products.
• Able and willing to work bakery retail hours and shifts (earliest shift starts 6am and vary through month)
• 6 days a week.
• Must currently reside in/very near to Durban.
• Must be criminally clear.

Responsible for delivery of warehouse KPI’s related to inbound and outbound performance, raw material and finished goods. A proven track record in managing conformance to highest standards of stock accuracy (physical and systems), health and safety, people management and excellent order and arrangement of products and layout. Candidates must have previous warehouse experience (5 to 10 years) in a warehouse supervisory capacity and must be prepared to work shifts. Must have a good understanding of working with Warehouse Management Systems and scanning operations. Own transport is essential.
