PACHA BEAUTY is the new name for my SKINCARE ⬇️ WHY?

The previous names weren't easy to say, nor were they catchy and didn't represent the skincare product well enough. I wanted a name that was easy to pronounce, said what the brand is about, the natural and organic ingredients I use, as well mean something to me, personally.

I'm fascinated by Ancient Inca mythology and appreciate the Sacred Andean guiding principles of MUNAY (unconditional love).  LLANKAY (the power of action, labour, and creative expression). YACHAY (being yourself in an authentic and balanced way, and AYNI (sacred reciprocity, in nature and the cosmos), which is much like UBUNTU in South Africa.

PACHA is the concept of space-time - there is no past, present, or future - only an eternal present  🌌

PACHAMAMA – when directly translated from Quechua into English, is "World Mother" or "Mother Earth." In Inca mythology, Pachamama is the benevolent goddess that represents all of life on earth. 🌎 She is also described as the mother of both space-time and the entire material universe.

The new name, PACHA BEAUTY,  was inspired by both PACHA and PACHAMAMA.

I have created a new Instagram and Facebook profile for PACHA BEAUTY where I will be sharing information about: Skin Types; Skin Conditions; Skincare Routines; Do's and Dont's; Skincare Myths; Skincare Products; Ingredient Research and Formulations.

I have registered a website domain and will launch the website that as soon as it's ready. I will also be creating a TikTok account as well.

We endeavour to provide skincare products that are kind to animals, humans, and the planet.

Kind to ANIMALS means: Not tested on animals, and not from animals.

Kind to HUMANS means: Not harmful to humans. No child/slave labour is used in the growing, cultivating, harvesting, manufacture, or packaging of ingredients.

Kind to THE PLANET means: Sustainably grown, farmed, cultivated, harvested, manufactured, and packaged ingredients. Organic, natural, naturally derived, and nature identical ingredients.

We support suppliers who have the same values.

We continually strive to find more sustainable packaging options.

Where it is found that our products do not align with the above, we will research alternatives and revisit the skincare formula.

Just a few minutes 🕢 every morning and evening, makes such a difference.

When I was young, my sister and I lived with my grandparents. At my nana's age, teaching us skincare wasn't on top of her agenda. My mum stayed in a different city and wasn't around to teach us the basics either. So, caring for my skin wasn't on top of my list of things to do 📃

I've struggled with skin issues since I was a teenager and right up to menopause. Spots and blemishes at first, and now the addition of wrinkles, sunspots, reddening skin, broken veins, and ... wait for it ... chin hair 😲

One thing that has started to make a positive difference is my morning and evening skincare routine🧁

Our skin is more intelligent than you think. It is self-repairing and self-maintaining, and constructed from nutrients provided by one's own diet.

And, that's what's most important to remember... one needs to look holistically at our whole body and lifestyle if we have skin problems.
