Aluminum Cans Recycling ♻️
Big recycling companies such as Collect-a-Can, they pay R34 per kilo. This explains why many informal collectors in the townships are paying between R10 and R15 per kilo. They stand to get more than double once they sell the aluminium cans to a big company.
Aluminium is 100 percent recyclable, which means there is no part that can't be reuse – it can be squashed or melted.
A kilo is usually 65 to 70 aluminium cans.

🛑 No police officer has the right to refuse opening your case — no matter what the crime or where it happened!
The South African Police Service has issued a clear reminder under National Instruction 3 of 2011:
👉 Every complainant must be assisted in opening a case.
👉 No one should be turned away, told “it’s not serious,” or referred to another station.
Common excuses that are NOT allowed:
❌ “You don’t know the suspect’s name.”
❌ “Bring the suspect here first.”

❌ “It’s not that serious.”
🚫 This behaviour is UNACCEPTABLE! Every citizen — especially women and children — has the right to be heard, protected, and helped.
💡 Remember:
The Community Service Centre (CSC) must take your affidavit immediately.
No complainant may be sent away or redirected to another police station.
If an officer refuses to open your case, report them immediately.
