2 ACTION

WHAT is HAPPENING --

Action also introduces the CHARACTER as their the one responsible for it (Action).

(example= with SCENE HEADING)

INT. BACKROOM- DAY

SCRIP- 31- scar on a cheek is with--

NOV- 30- tall- dark counting stolen money.

ACTION can also make cameos in between the character and always appears ON TOP of a CHARACTER doing the ACTION.

Rudely pushes the plate.

NOV
(clicks tongue)
This is not what I have ordered.

WAITER qu**ky takes the plate and rushes back to the kitchen.

WAITER
My apologies Ma'am. I will fix it.

Do not, I repeat, do not over "Action" your scenes because it takes away the freedom of actors to play with the character to their ability. And don't explain everything on ACTION- leave that to CHARACTER AND DIALOGUE to unpack.

Remember you are writing a Script not a Novel, so don't mention things that will be impossible to portray on T.V:

NOV- Female- mid 30s- dark beauty- Long hair that smells like Marshmellow.

🥹 How are we as Viewers going to know that the hair smells like Marshmellow? 😬 We are not reading the script but watching it. Keep your ACTION as straight to the point and visually as possible.

After thinking it through, it was decided that the name VAAL SCRIPTERS sounds like we are only focused on Vaal Writers and this came about from a question we received from one trustful who asked if the page is only for Vaal people.

We have opted for an inclusive name which will be revealed before 10 AM today, officially saying goodbye to Poetic Clan...
