Turning Zambia’s Farm Waste Into Clean Energy 🌱🔥
At NetZero Innovation, we believe the solution to deforestation and pollution is already growing in Zambia’s fields.
Every harvest season, tons of agricultural waste maize stalks, groundnut shells, rice husks, sawdust — are burned or left to rot. That releases CO₂ and wastes energy potential.
Our approach:* We collect that waste and transform it into high-density briquettes.
The impact:For the environment: Each ton of briquettes replaces ∼3 tons of charcoal. That means fewer trees cut down and lower carbon emissions. NetZero = closer to zero.
For communities: Clean-burning fuel with less smoke, reducing indoor air pollution and protecting the health of our mothers and children.
For farmers: Extra income from waste they’d normally discard. Waste becomes value.
Zambia has the resources to power itself sustainably. We’re just closing the loop.
