As Limba Campaign, we strongly condemn the alarming rise in r**e cases across Zambia. Sexual violence is a gross violation of human rights and has devastating physical, emotional, and psychological effects on survivors, their families, and society as a whole.
It is deeply concerning that such heinous acts continue to persist in our communities. No one regardless of age, gender, or social status should ever have to endure such brutality. As a nation, we must stand together to demand justice for survivors and ensure that perpetrators face the full force of the law.
I call upon the government, law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and every Zambian citizen to take decisive action in fighting against this scourge. Strengthening legal frameworks, enhancing support systems for survivors, and fostering a culture of respect and accountability are key to ending sexual violence in our country.
At Limba Campaign, we remain committed to advocating for the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals, especially the vulnerable. We urge everyone to break the silence, report abuse, and support survivors in their healing journey. Together, we can create a Zambia where every person is safe, valued, and protected from harm.
