The story of Jacob stealing a blessing from his brother is interesting. After all had happened, Jacob did not leave his father's home as a fugitive, he left publicly as a groom in progress. That was just dignity on the surface while danger was boiling underneath. You see, storms can make you rename your crisis so that your honor can survive the transition. People will simply say they're relocating in search of more opportunities and yet they're running away from a toxic friendship. Listen, sometimes your exit can have a tag of promotion on the surface and still carry protection privately.
Storms of life can teach you how to survive without exposing and explaining everything. Not everyone deserves the full disclosure of your pain. Sometimes survival just requires selective speech. It's your life not a village assignment. There goes a crook but being celebrated as a groom. Even mistakes should not always look like mistakes. You can recover under a blanket of dignity and not always under an umbrella of shame. Stop over sharing your wounds with people who cannot handle your truth.
Yes, storms will teach you who deserves the explanation and who only needs the announcement. It's not every storm that requires a press conference. It's okay to just say it didn't work without explaining why it didn't work. You can still concentrate on yours that is working. The day yours will break then you'll realize that sometimes life just happens and you can't be too careful.
