Project Visitation & M&E – Slow Food 10,000 Gardens in Africa

We are proud to share that we recently conducted a visitation and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) exercise at:

📍 Twatasha Primary School
📍 Chimwemwe Primary School
📍 Chawama Primary School

These visits were part of our ongoing School Garden Project under the Slow Food 10,000 Gardens in Africa Initiative, aimed at strengthening food security, nutrition education, environmental stewardship, and practical agricultural skills among learners.

During the visits, we:
✅ Assessed the progress and sustainability of the school gardens
✅ Engaged school administrators, teachers, and garden patrons
✅ Reviewed crop performance and learner participation
✅ Strengthened accountability and learning for the next phase

We are especially grateful to Chapebu, who sponsored one garden, including tools and team logistics support, helping to make this initiative impactful and sustainable. Your partnership is deeply appreciated! 🙏🏾

The gardens continue to serve as living classrooms—teaching learners about nutrition, climate resilience, indigenous crops, and sustainable food systems, while contributing to improved school meals and environmental awareness.

🌍 This visitation marks the successful conclusion of the 2025 phase of the project.

As we close this chapter, we look forward with excitement and renewed commitment to the 2026 phase, where we aim to deepen impact, strengthen sustainability, and expand opportunities for more learners.

Together, we grow more than food—we grow knowledge, resilience, and hope. 🌿💚

World Cancer Day

Today, as we join the world in marking World Cancer Day, we reflect on the importance of awareness, prevention, and collective action in the fight against cancer. This day is not only about recognizing the lives affected by cancer, but also about understanding the factors within our communities and environment that influence our health and wellbeing.

Cancer is more than a medical challenge it is deeply connected to how we live, work, and interact with our surroundings. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the choices we make every day all play a role in shaping long-term health outcomes.

Air pollution remains one of the major environmental concerns linked to increased health risks. In many growing communities, industrial activities such as manufacturing plants, waste processing sites, mining operations, and fuel or cement production facilities can release smoke, dust, and chemical emissions into the air. Residents living near these areas are often exposed to higher levels of harmful particles and toxic substances over long periods of time, which can affect respiratory health and increase the risk of certain cancers.

At the same time, ultraviolet (UV) radiation is another important factor to consider. While sunlight is a natural source of UV rays, modern lifestyle practices can add to this exposure. For example, the use of UV nail lamps in cosmetic treatments has raised awareness about repeated, close range UV exposure to the skin on the hands. When combined with spending more time outdoors during hotter and sunnier seasons, this can contribute to cumulative UV exposure, which is a known risk factor for skin-related cancers.

At Limitless Foundation, we believe that the fight against cancer must go beyond treatment alone. It must include education, prevention, and environmental responsibility. We are committed to raising awareness about early detection, promoting healthier lifestyle choices, and advocating for cleaner, safer environments where communities can thrive.

This World Cancer Day, we call on individuals, partners, and leaders to take action to support cancer awareness initiatives, to protect our environment, and to stand in solidarity with those affected by cancer. Every small step, from choosing safer personal practices to supporting sustainable development, helps build a healthier future for all.

Together, we can create a world where health, dignity, and opportunity are not limited by disease or environmental harm. Together, we can build limitless possibilities for every life.
