Women continue to shape agriculture across Zambia. Through their hard work in the fields and markets, families eat and communities move forward. Today we celebrate the strength and dedication of the women farmers we work with every day. Happy International Women's Day.

This is the scene when you spend time at Swallowtail Farm. A family farm in Mason, Michigan that offers sustainably grown fresh farm produce to the community. Their business model showed us that we can run a business without having to harm the environment or community. Regenerative agriculture( cover cropping, biodiversity planting, crop rotation,recycle e.tc) is at the heart of their food production processes.This is a true testament of their commitment to feed the world in a healthy manner whilst caring for our soils. Just wow, how selfless an act!

The lessons were invaluable and as we and our farmers prepare for our farming season, the insights are timely. Thank you once again Swallowtail Farm for your support and partnering with us in driving Africa forward.

This U.S Government of State highly competitive program is a testament of this leader's discipline, hard work and passion to drive Africa forward through food systems.
