My take on the Lusaka–Ndola road
In my opinion, if the Lusaka–Ndola road is going to qualify as a dual carriage way, then even the Kapiri Mposhi bypass and the Kabwe bypass should have been constructed as dual carriage ways as well.
Right now, both bypasses are single carriage ways, which defeats the purpose of a seamless highway. It’s incredibly frustrating when you’re using a bypass meant to ease travel, only to get stuck behind slow-moving vehicles with no safe opportunity to overtake.
Take a look at the attached picture — this is the Kapiri Mposhi bypass, supposedly part of the Lusaka–Ndola dual carriage way currently under construction. A single lane each way on a bypass? Makes no sense to me.
We need consistency on major highways, not half-measures.
What’s your experience driving through these bypasses?
🇿🇲🇨🇩 Zambian truck drivers representing on foreign soil! Great moments with fellow drivers at Tenke Fungurume Mining, DRC. Safe journeys and respect to all road warriors. 🚛💪
Another Zambian truck driver brutally dragged from his truck by Congolese soldiers – this must stop.
A video circulating on social media shows an unidentified Zambian truck driver being forcefully removed from his truck by a group of Congolese soldiers in the DRC. After dragging him out, he was taken to an unknown location – likely to be caned.
It's still not clear exactly what traffic offence he committed, but the video shows his truck sitting in the inner opposite lane of a dual carriageway, facing oncoming traffic – suggesting he may have been attempting to overtake several trucks.
Let’s be honest: too many Zambian drivers throw defensive driving out the window the moment they cross into the DRC. And the results are predictable and tragic.
This isn't just about beatings anymore. A few days ago, more than ten people died in separate road accidents – one at Sept-Sept, another near Sakania border.
We can condemn the brutality of soldiers while also demanding better from our own drivers. Both things can be true.
Drive responsibly. Follow the rules. Come back home alive.
Zambian truck driver caned in DRC by Congolese soldiers
A disturbing video making rounds shows a Zambian truck driver being caned by a group of Congolese soldiers inside the DRC. It’s not entirely clear what triggered the incident, but many Zambian truck drivers admit they tend to abandon defensive driving once they cross into Congolese territory.
From what’s seen in the video, the driver may have attempted to overtake several trucks — a common but risky move in DRC’s chaotic traffic conditions. Onlookers in the clip are heard saying, “Beat him so he doesn’t repeat the same mistake.”
While mob justice or military involvement in traffic disputes is never the answer, this also raises serious questions about the discipline of some Zambian drivers on foreign roads. Respecting traffic rules — even when locals don’t — could save lives and prevent such humiliating encounters.
Let’s hope the driver gets proper consular support and that both sides address this without normalizing violence.
What are your thoughts? 🇿🇲🤝🇨🇩
From Zambia 🇿🇲 to Tanzania 🇹🇿, keeping the journey healthy! 🍌🍍🍊 Stopped at Msimba in Morogoro Region to grab some fresh bananas and fruits before hitting the road again. A truck driver's fuel isn't only diesel—good food matters too! 🚛💨

My stance on South Africa and the World Cup 🇿🇦🌍
Yes, Bafana Bafana lost to Mexico (2-0) – those red cards hurt . But I stand by my support. One result doesn't erase my pride in African football.
Let me be clear: South Africa has every right to remove undocumented foreign nationals from their country . That's their sovereign right, and I respect that fully. Supporting their football team has NOTHING to do with immigration status or "taking jobs" – that's a ridiculous reach.
As a Zambian and a proud African, I'll be backing ALL our representatives at this 2026 FIFA World Cup. Here are the 10 African nations flying our flag:
🇩🇿 Algeria
🇨🇻 Cape Verde
🇨🇩 DR Congo
🇨🇮 Côte d'Ivoire
🇪🇬 Egypt
🇬🇭 Ghana
🇲🇦 Morocco
🇸🇳 Senegal
🇿🇦 South Africa
🇹🇳 Tunisia
Let's go Africa! ✊🏿

🇿🇲⚽🇿🇦 It’s here! The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off TODAY — and what a way to start.
Tonight at 9:00pm, South Africa vs Mexico. As a Zambian and a proud patriotic African, my support is solidly behind Bafana Bafana.
Never mind that I’ll be cheering in a Springbok jersey 😅 — rugby or football, when it comes to representing the continent, I’m all in.
Let’s go Bafana Bafana! 🇿🇦 Please don’t disappoint Africa. Bring those 3 points home. 🙏🏿
