EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: HOTEL WAITERS
We are looking for hotel waiters to assist restaurant patrons by noting their order, serve tables their requested meals, and prepare bills at the end of the table's meal. Waiters are also responsible for asking customers if they are satisfied with their meal and providing any assistance should the customer not be satisfied.
To be successful as a waiter you must have the endurance to stand for long hours and have patience with difficult customers. A good waiter anticipates the needs of customers and provides all services in a friendly manner.
The hotel is located in Makeni Buckley after Bonaventure; residents in the surrounding areas are advised to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS:
✓ Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
✓ Grade 12 Certificate
✓ Endurance to walk and stand for long hours.
✓ Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult customers.
✓ Excellent interpersonal skills.
✓ Coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping anything.
RESPONSIBILITIES
✓ Greet customers and hand out menus.
✓ Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.
✓ Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
✓ Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
✓ Check that customers are satisfied with their meal.
✓ Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
✓ Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.
✓ Administer change to tables if needed.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team of room attendants and ensure we provide excellent customer service. Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and that guests are satisfied.
The hotel is located in Makeni Buckley after Bonaventure; residents in the surrounding areas are advised to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
✓ Diploma In Hospitality/Hotel Management or Equivalent
✓ Grade 12 certificate
✓ At least 2 years of work experience
✓ Proven housekeeping or hospitality experience.
✓ Working knowledge of housekeeping.
✓ Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
✓ The ability to multitask.
✓ The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
✓ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
✓ Exceptional customer service skills.
✓ Effective communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
✓ Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
✓ Oversee staff on a daily basis
✓ Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
✓ Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
✓ Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
✓ Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
✓ Respond to customer complaints and special requests
✓ Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves
✓ Participate in large cleaning projects as required
✓ Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
✓ Requirements and skills
✓ Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
✓ Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
✓ Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
✓ Excellent organizational and team management skills
✓ Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
✓ Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
✓ High school diploma is a plus
