Luapula Expo Preparations Hit 20 % From Completion

Government says preparations for the 2026 Luapula Investment Expo are nearing completion, with readiness levels estimated at between 70 and 80 percent ahead of the event.

Luapula Province Permanent Secretary Prudence Chinama said the province has entered the final phase of preparations, with only key logistical and sponsorship processes remaining.

Mrs. Chinama explained that the Expo, scheduled to take place from April 20 to 24 in Mansa, has already attracted overwhelming interest from both local and international investors.

She noted that all activities will be centralized at Kaole Stadium to enhance convenience and efficiency for participants.

According to Mrs. Chinama, major corporate entities such as Mansa Sugar Limited, Kawambwa Sugar, and Zesco Limited have already confirmed participation, with more stakeholders expected to come on board.

She added that the province is showcasing investment opportunities in key sectors including agriculture, energy, tourism, infrastructure, and education, stressing that Luapula’s vast natural resources—such as water bodies and waterfalls—position the province as a prime investment destination.
