WATCH and PRAY
Prayer, intercession and word ministry for the edification of the body of Christ
Mat 5:7-Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mercy is the ability to live with one offending you and accommodate that person as if he or she never offended you. It is the act of covering another person's weakness or shortcomings to regard and present that person as if he or she has no offence.
Mercy is not a natural trait. It is not something one is born with or something you learn from a colleague. Mercy is deeper than kindness. Mercy is what caused Jesus to ask God to forgive people who were torturing Him on the cross.
Mercy is God's character. Those that possess this character have inherited it from God. The more mercy you have obtained, the more mercy you can offer. The more mercy you offer the more mercy you shall obtain. Do not break the cycle.

1 Kings 17:3-4, 7
Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
There was drought in the land and Elijah was directed to move away from the community where he usually got food and sustenance. He was to move by faith to some 'Cherith brook' where ravens would feed him.
He went in obedience and indeed ravens fed him daily in the morning and evening and he drank from the brook.
Key to note: Obedience to God's word bring results. Moving in faith engineers the unusual to take place.
However, it is important to discover that even God ordained 'brooks' may dry at some point . Yes, God ordained jobs, businesses, relationships and sources of provision may dry up!
The Bible said the Cherith brook dried up, but that was not the end of Elijah. God had another form of provision in line.
We also face times of setbacks and discomfort even after moving in faith and obedience to the word of God. We get disappointed when what we thought could sustain us can no longer be of much help. We put permanent hopes on temporary dimensions and this may bring disappointment in our lives.
Be ready to let go that which the Lord is releasing you from. Allow temporary freinds to go. Let them temporary job opportunities go. Allow relationships to end when it's time. When the brook dries up, don't sit down to die; but rather stand up and watch where God is directing you next.

Zechariah 3:2
And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
May the Lord answer for you like He did for Joshua in the above quoted verse. Satan and this world may drag you and bombard you with accusations and allegations to try and cause confusion in your life. Things may come to try and distract you from your destiny. But the Lord shall fight for you this year. He shall answer for you when they speak against you.
The formula of inviting God's intervention in your life is that you must be still in the midst of all the confusion. Learn to withhold certain words and unnecessary action. Learn to keep quite and be calm. Then God will speak in your place. He will act on your behalf.
