A BIT ABOUT US
4Chairty is an initiative to channel resources to those in need.
We are driven by the desire to make a difference in people’s lives, especially those in need. We do things, ‘4Charity’.
Our strategy is simple. To create offer sustainable assistance. Though we are not limited to raising funds only, our strategy in raising funds for our projects is mainly doing business and also receiving donations.
The experience of relying on donors or well-wishers had made us an unreliable charity initiative because of what typically happens when someone has decided to partner and/or donate and things get harder - they stop donating or partnering. So what happens to the people we are are assisting they are left vulnerable.
The first people we assisted opened our eyes. We assisted primarily from our own strained resources where we got to a point where we had nothing else to give. Fortunately some well-wishers decided to partner with us but we were not able to get long term commitments. When you offer help to someone in need, unless it’s a one time need like medical fees for a procedure, you need to be able to consistently offer help as they develop independence.
To help address this we have ventured into business. Getting into business has given us
*the freedom to intervene freely i.e. not bound by MOUs where the wellbeing of a person is a priority,
*an unlimited opportunity in the ways we raise funds
*freedom from reliance on partners who may not be able to consistently give for good reasons,
*the opportunity to be a reliable source of help.
This list is not exhaustive. We strive to be creative about our business ventures so that we ALWAYS have the resources to make the difference. As we do this work we strive to grow so our impact is wider.
OUR PARTNERS
Partners are people with the same heartbeat as ours who want to work with us in whatever form or fashion. We are aware that help does not always have to be in the form of money’ so we welcome any sort of partnership as long as it has no ulterior motive - except to work with us in earnest, in making a difference in people’s lives. Money does go a long way in covering our running costs so we have more resources freed up for assisting those that need our help.
As the name suggests, maybe you don’t have money but have time to give towards a cause, or gifts-in-kind (physical items) to make someone’s life better. Whatever it is you are moved to give - JUST DO IT. There is a fulfillment that comes with making a difference in another person’s life that can never be replaced. We will not harp on this because this could go on forever because for us, it’s linked to our purpose in life.

The co-founder has over 10years experience as finance professional in the humanitarian sector where providing a verifiable account of how funds are used is key. She started from entry level rose the ranks by merit to Officer level when she last worked at a humanitarian institute. Her experience has been in international organisations where there were multi-donor funds and regulations.
