I shared recently that I have a new colleague: Claude AI.
The relationship is already very clear.
ChatGPT is where I throw ideas, test thoughts, argue with myself, and occasionally spiral into subjects that have nothing to do with the original task.
Claude is a geek.
It has been a week, and we have already done a lot. We have also painfully discovered that there is a lot more to do.
Back to square one.
Ideas are always available. Good ideas are not even that rare.
Ex*****on is where the differentiation happens.
The to-do list keeps growing. Time feels different. Some days it genuinely feels like we are running towards a finish line that keeps moving further away.
I watch a lot of content about business and entrepreneurship. I never miss an episode of Anatomy of a Dream. I pick one small idea, apply it, see what happens, then move on to the next.
The reality behind the screen is far less glamorous.
I am still alone behind the keyboard.
My hands are full.
I work every day. I make time to learn. I set aside budget to experiment. And I keep enough faith in reserve to accept the cost of both.
What AI has taught me so far is that it is no longer a nice-to-have.
It’s a must.
But, like every tool, its value depends on how well you use it.
And that is where I know I am still missing part of the picture.
Oddly enough, I don’t think I need classes to learn AI.
I think I need rooms full of curious people.
Because most of my mistakes are not about applying the answers.
They come from asking the wrong questions.
So for now, I remain what I have always been:
Curious.
A little overwhelmed.
Willing to learn.
For those of you using AI every day, what is the one thing you do with it that genuinely saves you time or makes you better at your job?
I am collecting ideas. Steal-worthy ones are particularly welcome.
May has been a whole year by itself.
Digesting the leftovers of missile alerts and stress-induced cramps. Looking at the P&L and trying to negotiate with the numbers because surely it can’t be that. Finding comfort in end-of-year exams because they bring a sense of normality. Looking at your tribe and wanting the very best for all of us.
Realising that bending is not agility. If you’re going to stretch, it should be to rise not to fit.
When pressure starts appearing in your dreams, making life more pleasant stops being a luxury and becomes a necessity.
So this month, we took .ae and ourselves to better places.
Starting with . A company we genuinely look up to for its values and culture.
Having teenagers means we are finally entering that beautiful phase where we get to enjoy some of the same things together. Through , we met a community of young, diverse, ambitious people committed to building something meaningful. They make « better » look normal. Effortless, almost.
Long hours behind screens. Meetings. Negotiations. Reshaping plans. Reassessing everything.
And then the moments offline. Rich conversations with entrepreneurs. Networking differently. Joining the and discovering how refreshing it is when translation isn’t needed. Just thoughts flowing naturally.
Many hours spent alone. Thinking. Recalculating. Reassessing.
Silence can make you doubt too.
Some decisions were difficult. Very difficult. And I have a thick skin. And it still bruises.
A lot to celebrate.
A lot to grieve.
A lot to hold on to.
And a lot to build.
The one thing that keeps me sane is knowing that it is worth it. And knowing that my God has always eased my path.
One day at a time.
Right now, that’s enough.
Eid of course… far from those who build us...
And I couldn’t end May without mentioning MJ. 🎶
My first recording on a VHS 📼 was me waiting for Thriller to appear on TV, finger hovering over « record » and « play » at the same time, determined not to miss a second.
Some things stay with you.
It is worth it.
Yaqīn & Tawakkul.
That’s the whole strategy 🤍
