Launched at a meeting of 80 police security officers and representatives from a host of Government representatives, our HVM Guardrail systems have the potential to save the lives of pedestrians all over the country.

Consisting of our HVM Guardrail and our new HVM Socketed Guardrail our systems are a game-changer for street security.

Both are capable of stopping a 2.5 tonne pick-up truck traveling at 30mph, earning them both the coveted IWA-14 rating in our Highways England test, meaning that while they are indistinguishable from the thousands of miles worth of pedestrian guardrails installed in towns and cities all over the country, they can prevent vehicles from mounting the pavement and causing harm and fatalities.

This is not the case with standard pedestrian guardrails, which are only meant to stop pedestrians from accessing the road. Both systems rely on our Smartposts, which can be installed into the ground using ordinary Postcrete in the case of the HVM Guardrail or fitted into a socket embedded into the pavement in the case of the Socketed version, which requires only a shallow excavation because it is designed so that any force from a collision is cleverly dissipated along the length of the fencing.

The result is that our life-saving HVM Guardrail systems can be easily installed virtually anywhere, including, in the case of our HVM Socketed Guardrails, road bridges, and they have a host of other benefits too, including:

Not every vehicle that turns up at your premises is expected or welcome, which is why, in an uncertain world, you will need to ensure that they maintain a safe distance from your buildings and staff.

To help you, there are plenty of security devices and barriers available to let in friends and keep out potential foes, but what happens if you only need to use it sparingly, if your budget is tight or there is no electricity supply at your location?

The answer lies with our Rise and Fall blockout kerb, which is the newest addition to our products range and provides a cost-effective and manual solution to a perennial problem.

Designed and manufactured in the UK and rigorously tested to the PAS 68: 2010 standard specification during a series of successful trials at MIRA, our Rise and Fall blockout kerb can be lifted into place when you need to prevent access and lowered when you are sure that it is safe for the vehicle to proceed.

The kerbs are designed to be surface-mounted, but they can be installed as a cassette and it is easy to deploy them either trailer-mounted or via a Hiab lorry.

Designed to look like a standard bollard, our heavy duty, high security bollards are anything but. Beneath the shroud – which can be manufactured out of plastic, brushed steel or patented brass, tailored to your own design – lurks a robust steel reinforcement that can withstand heavy impacts from fast-moving vehicles, either through a terrorist attack or ram-raid.

All of our high security anti-ram bollards, which are available in four different sizes and a range of colours, have been rigorously tested to the highest possible level. They have PAS68:2010 accreditation and have been proven to stop and disable a truck weighing 7.5 tonnes traveling at 64kph.

What’s more, they are designed to be easy and quick to install, meaning that our team of fitters can give your premises the highest level of protection within the shortest possible time – and without turning your premises into a fortress.

Just because you want to protect your premises doesn’t mean you want to create a fortress, which is why an increasing number of organisations are investing in our reinforced street planters to give them security with a touch of style.

Tested to the limits and bearing the PAS 68: 2010 standard, our security planters are in place outside banks, local authority buildings and railway stations across the world, ready to mount an effective defence against any vehicle used as a battering ram.

Their appeal is that while they are capable stopping and disabling a 7.5 tonne truck traveling at 64kph, the planters are aesthetically pleasing and can be used to mount an attractive floral display to bring a touch of nature’s colour to the concrete jungle.

They are available in three different sizes and range of finishes, including stainless steel and bronze patina, the security planters can be installed quickly and, at 100mm, have the shallowest fixings in the industry, so there’s no danger of disturbing underground facilities. It also means that they can be removed or relocated!

Our expertise ensures that they are positioned wide enough to ensure that pedestrians can pass through them easily but close enough together to form an impregnable barrier to a car or truck.
