A new Fed Chair just walked into the room and three assets felt it immediately.

Kevin Warsh, the newly appointed Federal Reserve Chair, who has replaced Jerome Powell, has signalled something markets don't love: Interest rates may stay high for longer or go even higher in the near term. The reason behind this move and why it was unexpected is because inflation numbers (CPI, PPI, and the PCE have been coming in hotter than expectations) and when inflation is high (4.1% vs the Fed's 2% mandate), the federal reserve (and Kevin Warsh's) first move is to raise interest rates to curb boring and spending.

Here's why that matters for Gold, Silver and Bitcoin.

When a central bank turns hawkish, the logic plays out like this:
Higher interest rates → money flows OUT of risky and non-yielding assets → and INTO dollars and fixed income as bonds and cash start yielding attractive returns → and ultimately, inflation gets controlled

Gold doesn't pay interest. Silver doesn't pay a dividend. Bitcoin yields nothing. When cash suddenly offers 3.5–4% returns, the opportunity cost of holding these assets rises sharply. Investors rotate. Prices fall.

That's exactly what happened.

Gold: $4,080/oz today — down 28% YTD
Silver: $122/oz today — down 53% YTD
Bitcoin: $60,000 today— down 53% YTD

This isn't a "market wide" crash. It's just a rotation. And it's one of the most important mechanics to understand if you want to read markets, not just react to them.

The investors who understood why this was happening positioned themselves ahead of it. The ones who didn't are the angry ones in the comments section.
