We tend to think of arguments as a means of persuasion. They are, but more often and perhaps more effectively, they are a means of explanation. When various levels of executives in a company are able to construct good arguments and argument structure is baked into processes and document templates, decision-making can become considerably more effective. This is the essence of argument-based management, taught by SpeakSmart in Europe and in Pakistan.
