Every Monday morning, Team Malhaar arrives early at GEMS Modern Academy for the Monday Morning Raga setup and sound check.

Today, Aadhya Kamesh (MYP 2) performed for the very first time, not just at Monday Morning Raga, but on any public stage.

What made the morning even more special was meeting her mother, who had arrived much earlier than required.

During our conversation, she shared that she had barely slept the previous night because of the excitement and anticipation of her daughter’s performance.

Moments like these remind us that learning is never a child’s journey alone. Parents walk every step with their children, celebrating, worrying, encouraging, and growing alongside them. Perhaps children only realize this when they grow older.

That is the beauty of growing up together, and the important role schools play in creating such meaningful experiences.

This morning, Aadhya’s beautiful presentation of Carnatic classical pieces enchanted the audience. But the joy, pride, and excitement reflected in her mother’s eyes made the experience truly unforgettable.

A heartfelt thank you to the Principal, Mr. Sydney Atkins, along with the teachers and support staff of GEMS Modern Academy, for creating a school community where every child is encouraged, every family feels connected, and every achievement is celebrated with warmth and care.

We are truly honored to have been part of this extraordinary concert organized by Mohana, Dubai, featuring legendary artists Padma Bhushan Awardee Smt. Sudha Ragunathan and Padma Shri Awardee Smt. Avasarala Kanyakumari, fondly known as Kanyakumari Amma.

One of the most cherished moments for us was seeing our violin students receive the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform alongside talented young musicians from across the UAE.

As part of the special presentation “Strings of Harmony,” they had the privilege of performing compositions by Kanyakumari Amma in the presence of these iconic maestros.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Smt. Radhika Anand and the entire Mohana team for inviting Malhaar students to participate in this prestigious event and be part of such a memorable celebration.

A special note of thanks to our violin Guru, Shri Oindra Kumar Dutta, whose unwavering guidance and mentorship made this incredible experience possible for our students.

Moments like these inspire young musicians and remind us of the timeless power of music to connect generations, traditions, and cultures.
