The Personal Status Law is the set of legal rules that regulate the relationship of individuals with each other in terms of the relationship of descent and marriage, and the resulting marriage, birth, guardianship, custody, rights, mutual duties, and dissolution that may entail rights to maintenance, custody, inheritance, and will.
