I Got Stories To Tell...

27/01/2021

My favourite heroe growing up was Dr Indiana Jones.
Not only because he was traveling all around the world but also because he was cultivated. He knew so much about people's culture and I thought that was dope in so many ways.
He's the one who got me into reading books and boxing!!!

When I was younger I thought I should get into boxing so I can beat up bad people and save the world while traveling. Fun fact is: I really got into quite few fights in my international journey😅 (this I'm not proud of) but nonetheless I was always a learner of the culture surrounding me in new environment.

Now what thing I learned recently was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was once banned in India for its "racist portrayal of Indians and overt imperialistic tendencies." In particular, some Indians object to a scene showing monkey brains being eaten as a delicacy, as well the "black sleep of Kali Ma" potion that puts Dr. Jones in a trance.

Hollywood has a tendency to make the bad guy... the colour guy...

But I'm still grateful for the vision the characters gave to my life. He's my second biggest heroe right after my dad...

Don't miss the first episode of my travel Web story tomorrow!!!
I'm counting on y'all to share it to the maxx😉😉
