A mendon se fëmijëve u duhet një mënyrë e thjeshtë dhe argëtuese, larg ekraneve, për të zbuluar në çdo moment cilat janë frutat dhe perimet e stinës?

Në një kohë kur fëmijët shohin pothuajse të njëjtat fruta dhe perime gjatë gjithë vitit në raftet e marketeve, lidhja me stinët po zbehet pak nga pak.

Si biologe dhe nutricioniste, po zhvilloj një mjet edukativ analog, larg ekraneve, që i ndihmon fëmijët të rindërtojnë këtë lidhje përmes përvojës konkrete dhe lojës, një mjet që mund të përdoret nga e gjithë familja.

Nëse je prind ose punon me fëmijët, përvoja dhe perspektiva më, më janë jashtëzakonisht të vlefshme për ta bërë këtë mjet vërtet të dobishëm dhe të lehtë për t’u përdorur në përditshmëri (jo vetëm për fëmijët, por edhe për të rriturit që i shoqërojnë ata çdo ditë.)

As children see almost the same fruits and vegetables on supermarket shelves all year round, and their connection with the seasons is slowly fading.

As a biologist and nutritionist, I’m developing an analog, screen free educational tool that helps children rebuild this connection through concrete, hands on experiences and play, a tool that can be used by the whole family.

If you are a parent or work with children, your experience and perspective are extremely valuable for making this tool truly useful and easy to use in everyday life – not only for children, but also for the adults who accompany them every day.

Historia na ka treguar se nuk kemi nevojë të flasim të njëjtën gjuhë për të krijuar gjëra që vlejnë.

Një kujtesë e thjeshtë për një bisedë kaq të lashtë aq të përditshme, atë mes njerëzve dhe mikrobeve. Një tryezë e rrumbullakët ndër-specieve, ku punojmë së bashku në harmoni për të krijuar diçka kaq thelbësore si buka.

Vlen gjithmonë të kujtojmë se këta bashkëpunëtorë të padukshëm formësojnë shëndetin, jetën dhe kulturën tonë. Buka, ky produkt “i thjeshtë” i një pune të përbashkët, mund të jetë kujtesa më e fuqishme e lidhjes sonë me ta.

Dhe ndoshta, thjesht ndoshta, mund të frymëzojë edhe mënyrën si ndërtojmë qytetet tona.

Back from the first Venice Climate Week, and I’m still processing the intensity of the conversations we shared.

In Venice, you can't escape the feeling that we do live on an ACQUA planet, where water isn't just scenery, but the connection between all life, all change, all the uncertainty we face.

A guiding question echoed through our days: How will we get out of this? It shaped how we listened, challenged each other, and envisioned next steps.

We heard a clear message: adaptation is not enough. We must act on the root causes, and we must act together.

What inspired me most was hearing so many different voices, from local farmers to policymakers, artists to scientists, all working toward the same goal: making climate action more real and relational.

Discussions on finance, responsibility, and systems change reminded me that every decision matters. Working at the intersection of education, science, and food systems, I left feeling this deeper urgency, especially for those of us working with the next generation.

I also found myself reflecting on what it means to be “close to action”, not just a listener, but a doer. Most of all, the importance of becoming who we need to be to meet these challenges, while learning from the emerging future.

How will we get out of this? It wasn’t just a theme, but a threshold: a collective invitation to rethink our roles, reimagine what’s possible, and cross into action together.
