Science and Technology Angels Network

🚀Marking STAN's 3rd anniversary, our Los Angeles chapter stands as a foundational pillar of our network and our very first hub launched outside of Armenia.

Since announcing the chapter, this local community has successfully organized five pitching sessions, including two hosted over the past fiscal year alone. Across these sessions, 13 startups presented to our angels, resulting in an investment, with multiple ventures remaining under active review. By actively scouting teams in Los Angeles and beyond, this hub has built an inclusive network that remains open to both Armenian and non-Armenian founders and investors alike.

🌟This milestone is a great opportunity to thank our LA Chapter Co-Chairs, Avetis Antaplyan and Avag Simonyan, for their leadership. We also deeply appreciate Triple S Ventures for their partnership, along with CBRE for hosting our events and providing a home for the STAN Los Angeles community.

From tactical angel investing to the Armenia-France tech corridor, our STAN Paris event on June 18 delivered the insights and connections our ecosystem needs right now. 📈

Hosted at STATION F right during VivaTech week, STAN Paris chapter brought ecosystem leaders together. Together, we dived into how technology is reshaping industries, why now is such a unique time to invest, and how Armenia can strengthen its position within the European startup landscape.

From the fundamentals of angel investing to the real-world impact of AI on venture capital, the insights shared on stage sparked conversations that evolved into networking.

To celebrate the opening of our STAN New York Chapter at Malin Chelsea on June 2, we brought industry leaders to discuss what it takes to grow a business today. One of the key ideas of the evening was the major difference between working at a big corporation versus a startup.

Large companies provide a structure where professionals learn the ropes. Startups demand dedication and a willingness to build from scratch.

Our speakers noted that working at a startup functions as a practical business school. The environment requires teams to handle different responsibilities, which teaches resilience when facing challenges.
