I’m a wine consultant, and when I am asked what exactly that is, I either go into a long (albeit important) explanation or carefully choose 1-2 areas and leave the rest!
If you’ve had the unfortunate privilege of hearing me introduce myself at events, you’ll know how badly I fumble at it. There’s always something important being left behind.
So to cut a long story short, this post is attempt to put all I’ve done recently into one place.
Yes, I do many different things. Yes, tasting wine is a big part of my job, but I’m not drinking wine all the time!
Over the past few months, my work has ranged from marketing strategy and content, to wine tourism, teaching, writing, and working with regions and clients across different parts of the industry.
But the common thread with all my work is that I really want to encourage more people to connect with wine and enjoy it. So I hope that is what you find here and with me.
PS: See what I mean by long explanation?😅
Wines not cold enough on a picnic! No problem as long as you have a stream 😅
Come along for more such wine advice and recommendations 🍷
If you’re anything like me… probably more than 500 times. 📷😅
Vines have that effect. Every twist of the trunk, every patch of light between the rows feels like it needs to be captured. Forget living in the moment, I want to hoard these moments in my phone.
If you’ve taken that perfect vineyard shot recently, this is your moment.
The Old Vine Conference photography contest was just announced! Head to for the link and details to enter. 🌿
I know I’ll be spending time going down the rabbit hole of winery and vineyard photos. I love it 😍 and maybe I’ll even find an entry-worthy image. 📸🍷
What makes me happiest? 🍇✨
Being in a vineyard, in any season and in any country! 🌍
The fresh green shoots of spring, the golden leaves of autumn, or the bare branches on foggy days…vineyards have become the backdrop of most of my holidays. And when I’m not among the vines, I’m hunting for wine bars and little wine shops that have a story to tell.
I still haven’t seen a snow-covered vineyard yet! maybe because I’d rather be indoors with a glass when it’s snowing 🤪🍷
