Adriano and Manuel have left the band. Castingcouch will continue as a three piece.

things will be different. two things will never change though:
we'll continue to put out the most nastiest and noisiest music in our ability.
and we will continue to explore and expose the extremities of human behaviour; in, and only in the context of art. I'm sorry, but that's just always been the way I (A***n) deal with my own personal trauma and abusive past.

look, we obviously think that the memes on their own are tasteless and disgusting.. yet one can either realize it's fiction and that the image and the caption had originally nothing to do with one another. They were put together out of context to evoke an emotion.. an emotion that the pic and/or text wouldn't evoke on their own respectively; or one can also get shocked, disgusted and possibly PTSD triggered upon first sight. And if that has actually happened to someone, we're eternally sorry... We hoped a memegrind/semmelgrind band named Castingcouch was trigger-warning enough for sensitive people.. but we could be wrong; hence the memes are gone and shall be no more.

Me, Stephan and Tomy don't ever want someone to feel hurt or violated, as a side-effect of us doing our thing with Castingcouch. We have nothing but love for the scene and the people, even the ones who hate us now. We've known each other in the band for a decade and if there'd been any act of misogyny, racism or hatred towards marginalized groups from any of us, you can be sure said person would have been shunned and cancelled by the rest.

Just hope the irony isn't lost on people acting out actual, direct and predetermined violence (hatemail, threats, pestering friends/family/work) against someone participating in a joke, in the context of art, involving a fictional violent scenario.
