21East Films is a Vienna-based film production company dedicated to reimagining filmmaking through the power of artificial intelligence, exploring new possibilities at the intersection of traditional filmmaking and emerging AI tools.

Founded in 2024 by award-winning filmmaker Alex Klim, we specialize in AI-generated motion pictures that merge cutting-edge technology with cinematic artistry.

Our mission is to create films that don’t just impress visually, but move audiences emotionally. By blending innovation with storytelling craft, 21East Films is shaping a new era of motion pictures where creativity and technology work hand in hand to unlock fresh perspectives on cinema.

OUR PRODUCTION STACK
Every film we make is the result of a curated dialogue between tools, chosen scene by scene, shot by shot, voice by voice.

At the heart of our cinematic work sits Higgsfield, our primary creative workspace. Through its Cinema Studio we shape sequences with the precision of real optical physics, drawing on the world's leading video models: 'Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Sora 2, Wan 2.7, and MiniMax Hailuo 02' and switching between them as each shot demands.

Runway extends that vocabulary. Gen-4.5 carries our text- and image-to-video work, while Gen-4 Aleph lets us edit, relight, and transform existing footage through natural language. Gen-4 References keeps characters and objects consistent across scenes, and Act-Two captures performance with a fidelity that was unimaginable just a year ago.

For stills and concept art, we turn to Midjourney V7 and Niji 7 alongside the image models inside Higgsfield, including Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2, Seedream, FLUX, Reve, and Higgsfield Soul, generating cinematic frames at native 4K.

Voice and dialogue come to life through ElevenLabs. Eleven v3 gives our characters emotional range across more than seventy languages; Multilingual v2 carries our long-form narration; Scribe v2 handles transcription where precision matters.

Score and song are shaped with Suno v5.5, while Epidemic Sound provides the licensed music and sound design that grounds each film. Final assembly, color, and mastering happen in Filmcrux and traditional post-production tools.

The stack evolves with the medium itself. New models arrive almost weekly, and we welcome them, but only when they serve the story.

In Pre-Production: Based on a true story, "Der letzte Brief - The last letter" follows an Austrian soldier on the Eastern Front in 1944, who sends dozens of letters home to his wife and five children in Vienna. His words carry longing, courage, and the fragile hope of returning home. For his youngest daughter – barely a year old when he left – these letters become the only connection to her father. Then, suddenly, the letters stop. For years the family waits in hope, torn between longing and despair, until the devastating truth emerges. What remains is a mother with five children and a final letter. A silent testament to love, loss, and the resilience of memory.
