The Roving Pups

Being in the south of Europe during Christmas season for the first time in our lives feels surreal. Christmas decorations popping up everywhere and the shops are packed with “all you need for Christmas” goods but apart from that… weird feeling 🙈😅😱🎅🏼🎄

We are on our way back now and just left Portugal. The plan is to move on until Italy 🇮🇹 and spend some quality time in Verona with Family and friends 🙌🏻

ALBARRACIN 🇪🇸

… missed by most tourists, namely considering its location - Albarracín is a two hours’ drive from the sea. A visit here is like a journey in time, in which it takes you to the narrow streets of the town. Although overlooked by most foreign tourists, Albarracin is an important spot for Spanish tourism. Spain masses appear here. No wonder - the town is really beautiful. Tight streets, medieval development, charming hotels and shops. Albarracin lies on the slopes of the Sierra de Albarracín mountains and sits at an altitude of about 1200 meters above sea level. That’s why summer is much more bearable here, than in other parts of Spain.

📍 GORAFE DESERT 🇪🇸

Desierto de Gorafe, you tested our limits! 🌵🏔️
We started our adventure by entering through the Camino de Bácor, a concrete road of the extra class which leads straight into a 4x4-only odyssey that promised breathtaking views and heart-pumping thrills 🎯. Marlena faced her fears head-on, conquering vertiginous drops and heart-stopping heights with sheer determination 💪. Meanwhile, Michael navigated the treacherous terrain with precision and skill, expertly guiding Landek (our trusty Defender) through the rocky, rugged landscape 🚗💥. And Landek? He rose to the challenge like a pro, tackling obstacles with ease and proving its mettle as a true off-road champion 🏆Our pups Morty & Charlie were the ultimate chill companions, taking in the stunning views and soaking up the adventure vibes 🐾👀. The 17.7-mile circuit was no joke but we crushed it in 2h 51m, beating the estimated 3-hour mark. With an elevation gain of 707m, we’d say that was a pretty impressive ride. If you’re up for the challenge, the track is free to enter – but don’t even think about attempting it without 4x4 🚫.
