From an outside perspective, Katja Gürtler’s works initially appear vibrant and lively, filled with colorful party scenes that convey a dynamic atmosphere. However, upon closer examination, an unsettling tension emerges.
The figures seem restless and aimless, blurring the lines between desire and fear.
This creates an impression that behind the cheerful façade lies an underlying threat.
Ultimately, it becomes clear that the apparent festivity is just a fleeting moment: the party is over.
