with Transformative Narratives: Lena Kuzmich and Tony Wagner
curated by Melissa Antunes de Menezes and Pia Wamsler
The three live activations of Choir of Kin – Photosynthesizer present new compositions by Tony Wagner. On the 8th of May 2026 Margit Schoberleitner, Hannah Todt and Tony Wagner engage in an intuitive and responsive interplay with the Photosynthesizer, shaping a shared listening experience – an emergent Choir of Kin.
Margit Schoberleitner studied classical percussion and instrumental pedagogy in Vienna and has been working as principal timpanist with the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich since 2009. With Ensemble Studio, she’s exploring ever-new facets of contemporary music for over 20 years, and as a singing drummer, she performs with the dialect band Treibsound.
Hannah Todt is a musician and visual artist. Through her work with sound, performance, and sculpture, she reflects on the relationships between human and non-human bodies, as well as the social conditions of knowledge production.
Tony Wagner (he/they) is a musician and artist working at the intersection of avant-garde composition, experimental sound and trans-disciplinary performance. His practice encompasses solo compositions under his own name and under the monikers Tony Renaissance and Bogland, collaborative projects with the duo Snake Boots and the collective Transformative Narratives, as well as original scores for film, theater, and performance.

Lena Kuzmich (they/them) is a visual artist working between moving image, bio-art, and installation. In their ongoing artistic research, Kuzmich explores how other modes of biological being and the more-than-human world can rewire one’s human sense of, and positioning in, the world. Their work uses a variety of artistic mediums as gateways and entry points for multi-species encounters. Blurring the boundaries between science and fiction, and between human and non-human domains, their work invites viewers to inhabit speculative worlds in the making.
