The Hamburg-based opinion-polling company Appinio has announced that it will be offering its employees an “Unlimited Vacation Policy”. This will allow its employees to take holidays whenever they want beyond the 20 days of holidays they are legally allowed each year.

According to Appinio founder Jonathan Kurfess, this step is in response to findings that suggest that commitment and responsibility have led staff to significantly contribute to the success of the start-up. Their working hours will now become even more flexible and the company hopes this will also increase its attractiveness as an employer.

The French start-up Midnight Trains plans to offer night trains designed like boutique hotels from Paris to other European cities as of 2024. The stylishly fitted trains feature cabins for various group sizes, so that friends, families and couples can travel in comfort.

The cabins contain bedding sets, a bathroom with shower, as well as an on-demand entertainment program. The glamorous dining car serves seasonal food and cocktails. Unlike the expensive Orient Express, the Midnight Trains will provide an affordable and sustainable alternative to flying.
