Advice on car thefts or thefts taking place inside vehicles

 Always keep your doors locked when driving.
 Do not leave your personal belongings, purse, mobile phone, wallet etc, at a visible location, such as the seats next to the windows.
 When you park your car, always lock all doors, close the windows and activate the alarm.
 Do not leave items of any kind (coats, stereo gear etc), money or valuable objects inside your vehicle.
 Do not ever leave your vehicle with the engine on and the key in the ignition, not even if you will be away for just a few seconds. Always take the key with you.
 Do not keep your spare car keys inside the vehicle. Put them in another, safer location.
 Try to park your vehicle in well lighted places. Avoid remote areas.
 If you must leave your keys at a parking area, give only your ignition key and no other.
 Do not leave evidence in the vehicle revealing your identity.
