✨ 𝗦𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 - 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝟮 | 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟵 - 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 ✨

We kicked off the week with a public holiday break for the King’s Birthday 👑

On Tuesday, our Cook & Connect session brought everyone together to make delicious Fried Rice and Pancakes – plenty of laughs, music, and great teamwork! 🍳🎶

Wednesday was spent crafting some cute caterpillars and putting together our colourful Toucans 🐛

Thursday’s session featured tasty homemade Steak Sandwiches, with cooking and connection at the heart of the day 🥪

We wrapped up the week with a fun mix of Art and Swimming at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre – from a World Cup–themed art session 🎨⚽ to a refreshing trip to the pool 🏊‍♂️

A short week but another great week of skills, socialising, and smiles! 😊

🎨 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 From pipe‑cleaner buddies to autumn leaves, ladybugs, caterpillars, and stick‑tree art — our Mondays were packed with colour, creativity, and plenty of laughs! Clients painted, crafted, and even enjoyed a surprise MJ sketch session, with some brilliant dance moves 🎶🖼️

👩‍🍳 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 Burrito bowls, dumplings, enchiladas, beef & broccoli stir‑fry, cottage pie, baked potatoes, banana bread, apple pies… our kitchen was buzzing! 🍲🥧 Clients built confidence with chopping, mixing, serving themselves, and working as a team.

🎬 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 From comfy‑chair movie outings 🍿 to window shopping and scavenger hunts 🛍️ — the group had some great times together.

🏊 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Participants spent some wonderful Friday's at Adelaide Aquatic Centre splashing around enjoying some time in the spa! 🤝💦

🌱 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀 Weeding, harvesting tomatoes, and tidying garden beds — the team filled bags of weeds and enjoyed being outdoors 🌿💪

🎨 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 AFL supporter banners, paper‑goal challenges, and even K‑pop colouring sheets — a creative finish to the week! 🏉🎨

🌈 Meet our QLD Based Neurodiversity-affirming Behaviour Practitioner 🌈

Hi everyone! I’m Amelia (I also go by Millie) ☀️

I’m a Specialist Behaviour Practitioner in South-East QLD, and someone who genuinely loves the magical chaos of working with neurodivergent humans. 🤩

I’m proudly AuDHD (Autistic + ADHD), which means I don’t just understand neurodivergence professionally, but I've lived it every day of my life. As a single mum to an awesome AuDHD 4-year-old, my world is equal parts sensory-friendly strategies, dopamine negotiations, and helping my little person navigate a world that often struggles to understand how his wonderfully unique brain works. 🧠✨

I bring both clinical knowledge and lived experience into my work, practicing exclusively through a neurodiversity-affirming framework, with a strong focus on neuroscience-based support and Dr Ross Greene's principle, "Kids do well when they can".

I often explain the way I work with clients to be similar to an investigator and interpreter. I use neuroscience-based strategies to identify what my clients need to feel safe and regulated, and what unmet needs exist that lead to dysregulation (a.k.a. “behaviours of concern”). I use this knowledge to inform the evidence-based strategies I develop, with the goal of needs being reliably met, subsequently preventing dysregulation. 🎉

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me chasing a bit of adrenaline (skydiving and bungee jumping are favourites at the moment), caring for my ever-growing collection of plants, or figuring out how to make life work WITH my brain instead of against it.

Fun fact: I have a condition called RCPD… which means I can’t burp. Ever. Not even once. It’s as inconvenient as it sounds — but a great conversation starter. 🤭
