In April I tried a couple new products which lead me to get a rash and break out! This had never happened to me before with any previous products so I was a little confused.

So I reduced my skin routine to be more gentle and calming while my skin was aggravated. I stood by the same products I was previously using with just a lot less physical and chemical exfoliants. Example: scrubbed x1 a week instead of x2, did not use an exfoliating serum or an enzyme mask.

My routine was: Gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid, vitamin B, clarity serum (salicylic acid), moisturiser, sunscreen and once the blemishes started to go down I incorporated vitamin C. (lol sounds like a lot of products but i promise it’s not!)

To help with scarring I used Hydrocolloid bandaids from the supermarket every time a blemish opened up! The bandaids ( like pimple patches ) helped to minimise any scabs forming which meant no picking at them! As picking could have caused more harm or pitted scars!

This is just my routine and as everyone’s skin is different, there is no 1 set routine to minimise acne!

From being consistent I’ve been pretty much blemish free on my cheeks! I’ve started to re incorporate exfoliating again and my skin had been amazing!

Moral of the story: stay consistent & as I am still human, I also still get breakouts while making you guys glow 😘🤍
