*Rabbit Owners of Adelaide* : increasing case numbers in the past week suggest we are at the beginning of a myxomatosis outbreak. Therefore, to be safe, bring any outdoor bunnies inside and prevent exposure to biting or flying insects.
This post will be updated when the risk has reduced (likely not until the weather cools). For more information, visit https://www.walkervillevet.com.au/blog/myxomatosis-rabbits/

SA KENNEL COUGH WARNING
Vets in Adelaide are noticing a sharp increase in the number of dogs coming in with kennel cough symptoms.
These dogs have usually either been:
• at a dog park
• at doggy day care
• with an affected dog
If you have recently attended these places look for the following symptoms:
• A harsh choking – type cough
• Discharge from the eyes or nose
• Lethargy
Visit your vet if you are concerned. Dogs with outdated vaccinations or other health problems are advised to avoid social gatherings for the next few weeks. This strain is also affecting vaccinated dogs but symptoms are generally mild.
