New dance headshots are here and it’s fun to move and teach again!

Still not sure if I’ll be getting on stage anytime soon and just finding me feet and listening to my body to figure out the bits of it all that I love and the bits of the dance industry that don’t serve me.

Coming back in older and wiser is such a different experience, and listening to my heart and mind rather than ego and competition makes me so aware of how much I’ve grown.

I adore these pics, THANK YOU! Pics taken in the courtyard of my dreamy yoga studio - try them out if you’re in Adelaide (they’ve changed my life)!

Diwali night 3.

Understated, comfy but feeling gorgeous in plant dyed sand washed silk and a vintage saree skirt by .label

Too tired for too much bling today but honouring this Indian holiday by fusing Aussie made with Indian fabrics.

Drives me mad and keeps me sane. It’s a beautiful dance.

I really do laugh at how much of a contrast these pics are to my current reality. Oh how much can change in 8 weeks.

Tan is fading. Thesis is growing… as is my bum! Such is the ebb and flow of life.

Yesterday, for the first time in as long as I can remember (I’d guess around 18 years) I didn’t look down at my tummy, or lift my shirt in a mirror, to see how much it was poking out.

When I realised this I felt overcome at the progress it symbolises in not spending every waking moment worrying about my body. I now have more days when I love my body than days when I worry about it.

It’s a long and conscious journey but the results are… magic, love, contentment… so worth it.

Photoshoots that produce magical imagery like these by .disher have been so central to learning to see the beauty in my body. They may seem a work of vanity, but I really believe they are a tool of self-love.
