Supporting multicultural youth in South Australia.

We’re looking for volunteers 💜
MYSA volunteers help support young people from multicultural backgrounds as they settle into life in Australia, build confidence and connect with their community.

There are lots of ways to get involved, from supporting events and programs to tutoring, mentoring, helping with driving hours and assisting with behind-the-scenes admin support.

You don’t need heaps of experience, just a willingness to help out and be part of something meaningful!

Volunteering with MYSA is a chance to support young people directly, build new skills and experience and be part of a welcoming, diverse community - what more could you want?

If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you! Head to our website to find out more and apply: mysa.com.au/volunteer/ 💛

Meet Miss MYSA Events 🎉

At MYSA, we know food has a way of bringing people together, starting conversations and helping people feel welcome. That’s exactly what Miss MYSA Events is all about 💛

Miss MYSA Events is our community-minded catering service, serving up generous, multicultural food for events of all kinds of events while also giving young refugees real, hands-on hospitality experience, helping them to build skills and confidence and creating genuine pathways into work.

Whether it’s a community gathering, workshop, meeting or celebration, we’re here to help you feed people well and create something people actually remember 🥐🥪🧀

And yes… the food in these photos? It really does look that good (and tastes even better 😍)

We cater for:
✨ Community and cultural events
✨ Meetings and workshops
✨ Public activations and gatherings
✨ Private functions and special occasions
✨ …and more!

Every booking creates opportunities for young people while sharing food that reflects the cultures, stories and energy of our community 💛

Today is National Sorry Day.

We remember and acknowledge the Stolen Generations: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were taken from their families, communities and Country. This caused lasting harm that continues across generations and today is about recognising that truth and the strength of those who survived it.

Tomorrow also marks the start of National Reconciliation Week. Reconciliation is not a moment in time, but an ongoing commitment to listen, learn and ensure First Nations voices are centred in how we acknowledge and understand this country’s past and build its future.

At MYSA, we’re taking this week to reflect and learn. We encourage our amazing community to do the same 💛
