For us in the Southern Hemisphere- Today is the winter solstice. 🌙
The longest night of the year. The point at which the darkness peaks and then slowly begins to recede. Humans have been marking this moment for thousands of years. Not just as a calendar event, but as a threshold.
An invitation to pause, go inward, and acknowledge the season that the body has been navigating.
There is something I find deeply reassuring about the solstice. It is a reminder that rest has always been part of the rhythm. That the earth itself slows down and turns inward before it blooms again. That darkness is not something to push through or optimise away, it is something to honour, before the light returns.
If winter has felt heavy this year - if your energy has been lower, your need for warmth and slowness more insistent than usual, I want you to know that this is not a failure, it’s what is supposed to happen. It is a very old, innate response to a very real seasonal shift. Your body is reading the light. It is doing exactly what it is designed to do.
So tonight: light a candle. Make something warm. Go to bed a little earlier than feels productive. Let the longest night be long.
The light comes back from here 🌿

I’m home 🏡
Almost a month away, 4.5 cities, one yoga class that broke me open (but in the best way possible) and a VERY strong craving for homemade sourdough. This truly was a trip of a lifetime!
I’m now back in Adelaide, in clinic, with a list of things I want to share with you all. And trust me when I say this list is a mile long 😅
I’ve written a proper reflection on the blog - about the yoga in Austin that moved me more than expected, about sitting in my friends kitchen watching her make the most incredible homemade sourdough, about the kind of nourishment that has nothing to do with morning routines and vitamins, but EVERYTHING to do with slowness.
It’s the most personal thing I’ve written in a while. I think you’ll like it.

Exhausted but can’t sleep. Stressed but not sure why. Hormones all over the place…
If that’s you - these are not three separate problems!!
Stress, sleep and hormones share the same biological pathways. When one is disrupted, the others shift to compensate. Over time, this disruption becomes self-sustaining. It becomes a vicious cycle that keeps running even when the original trigger is long gone. With seemingly no beginning and no end 🙃
This is why so many women feel like everything is off, all at once. It’s also why fixing just one piece of the puzzle (taking a magnesium supplement, going to bed earlier, cutting out caffeine) only managed to help a little. It takes the edge off, but doesn’t quite fix it.
The triangle needs to be addressed as a whole.
Swipe through to understand how each one affects the others and save this one, because it’s the kind of thing that makes a lot of things, make sense.
If this sounds like where you’re at right now, I’d love to help. There’s a link in my bio to book a consult - we’ll look at the full picture together. 🌿

Theres a herb sitting in your garden right now that might actually be one of the most powerful brain tonics in traditional medicine.
Rosemary 🌱
Its key compounds cross the blood-brain barrier, support circulation to the brain and have been shown to improve memory and cognitive performance. Not bad for something that also makes your roast vegetables taste incredible.
In clinic, I reach for rosemary when I’m thinking about brain fog, mental fatigue, poor circulation, and that flat, foggy, can’t-quite-think-straight feeling that so many women describe, especially through winter.
So as part of my Herbs at Home series, I’ve decided to share this little Rosemary Focus Oxymel recipe🌿🍯
What I love most about preparations like this is that they are so simple but create such powerful medicines.
Watch the video for the full recipe and instructions. Save this post so you have it when you’re ready to make it.
And if rosemary tea or this oxymel isn’t quite cutting through the fog, that’s often a sign something deeper needs attention. Brain fog, poor concentration, and mental fatigue almost always have a root cause worth investigating. Link in bio to book a consult. 🌿

Tired?! But not the kind that sleep fixes? 😴
If you’re waking up exhausted, hitting a wall by 2pm, or running purely on caffeine (and willpower), your body is trying to get your attention.
The truth is, persistent fatigue almost always has a root cause. And quite often, it’s a combination of things: adrenal stress, thyroid function, iron stores, blood sugar regulation, or sleep that isn’t as restorative as it should be. These things build up slowly, until one day you realise you can’t remember the last time you felt like yourself! Or the last time you woke up feeling RESTED!
Swipe through to see the most common drivers I see in clinic and know that this is something we can actually investigate and address together.
If any of this resonates, there’s a link in my bio to book a consult. I’d love to help you feel like you again. 🌿
