Farewell from the Food Pantry 🫶🍎🍊🍉
It is with mixed feelings that the YouX Food Pantry Governance Committee announce the formal wind-up of the YouX SRC Food Pantry.
While it is sad to say goodbye to a service that has supported thousands of students, we are determined that our final act reflects the values that guided this initiative from day one.
As an update to our previous post, at our final Pantry run at Hub Central, students contributed $893.78 and the Governance Committee committed to match those contributions dollar-for-dollar as promised and beyond, with all proceeds earned on that day to charity.
We began this initiative with students and the community in mind and we are closing it in that same spirit.
Thank you to everyone who engaged with this service and trusted us with this responsibility to do our part in addressing food insecurity on campus.
Special thanks to YouX for its support to the subcommittee, The University of Adelaide, SRC Officers, our contract delivery partner at UVAGAI and volunteers.
See you on the other side!

President’s Update – Study Plans and Enrolment
Thank you to the students who raised concerns about enrolment and study plans at the last two Council meetings. I hear your concerns and have escalated those action items to Adelaide University and have received a formal response and update. Please see attached.
In the interests of accountability and transparency, I consider it appropriate and necessary, on behalf of Council to provide this update as a carry-forward action from the last SRC meeting.
The letter also includes key dates and developments of AU which I encourage you to engage actively.
In addition, It is my understanding that AU has just released its Q4 updates to students on the 7 November 2025 via email. I encourage you to carefully look through the contents of this email as well and engage with the hyperlinks where applicable.
If you have further questions or concerns, particularly regarding enrolments for students entering the new university, you may contact Student Assist and I am also available to direct and advocate at [email protected] for matters which requires escalation or further advocacy.
The SRC has also re-established two-way communication with Adelaide University on transitional matters and had a meeting this week. If you would like the SRC to liaise with the University on your behalf for any issues that are not yet addressed, we are also ready to assist.
Thank you for your attention and engagement over the past month. We will continue to advocate for you as the student voice on campus.

SRC Governance Update
The Student Representative Council (SRC) received a request from Consumer and Business Services (CBS) in relation to certain allegations that have been raised against the SRC.
The SRC has responded to that request and provided the requested materials to CBS in accordance with SRC Governance documents and will continue to cooperate with the regulator.
While it would be inappropriate for the SRC to address these matters in detail as these matters remain ongoing, the SRC considers it appropriate to briefly address the matter generally.
In July 2025, SRC members submitted formal petitions to the President requesting that Special Council Meetings be convened to consider a serious governance matter. In accordance with the SRC Constitution, the President called the meetings and issued notice to members.
The SRC has become aware of public commentary and encourage students to rely on official SRC channels for updates. Consistent with the SRC Constitution, we remain committed to governance and regulatory compliance.
As the matter is ongoing and currently with the regulator, we will not be commenting further at this time but will ensure that students are kept up to date as necessary.
