Wondering what Aurora rovers did on ANZAC Day? Well look no further!

We got up bright and early to attend various vigils and Dawn Services around SA. A lot of us were apart of the ANZAC Day March in the city. Then we tried our best at netball!

Voting and 3 investitures, what a night! Safe to say we’ve been busy at Aurora recently. We welcomed our new Unit Leader along with changing up most of the Unit council roles also! What a great start to Term 2!

Winner Winner Velociraptor Dinner!!!

That’s right it’s the St George’s challenge! We were honoured to have Kullari Rover Unit join us for Fossil Night and duke it out on the backs of triceratops’

After being unable to source any battle ready Triceratops’ we had to settle instead for a more creative challenge, drawing and colouring in various real and imagined dinosaurs and examining fossils and uncovering the hidden story behind them.

For anyone who somehow missed it, a few weeks back Fullarton Scout Group officially celebrated it’s 100th birthday 🥳

To celebrate we opened the hall up to everyone and invited them all along to share in the festivities, with the hall decked out and sharing the rich history of the hall and scouting alike, cake, and some familiar faces serving sausages, snow cones and popcorn, it was a day to remember.

We were even lucky enough to be visited by Governor of South Australia Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson, who was kind enough to say a few words and unveil the new plaque.

It’s not often you get to celebrate 100 years of anything but suffice to say Fullarton Scout Group is well deserving of that honour. See you all at the next one 😉
