Identity for a desert crossing trip for Offline Campers. The client was taking a bunch of mates across the Simpson Desert for a bit of fun, and also to shoot the three camper trailers: Raker, Domino and Ryder. The request was for a design that would not only unite the team under a common banner, but which would also be used as merchandise.

It’s not often that a school commissions you to develop a suite of identities for their various house teams. But that’s exactly what Tyndale Christian School asked us to do! The challenge was to develop identity suites for each of the three campuses at Murray Bridge, Salisbury East, and Strathalbyn, with each suite based on the themes and narratives behind the house team name. For instance, showcased here are the identities of the Murray Bridge campus, where the house teams are named after prominent historic personalities from the region. The design objective was to express each name in a manner that spoke of the individual’s life and work. Plus the identities had to work as a suite, and look like logos for a sports team! A custom, hand-drawn typography style helped achieve design consistency.
