Dear valued customers of ModelWorldAdelaide, Today - Saturday the 14th June 2025 will be our last day of trade at Deacon Avenue in Richmond. Unfortunately we have been required to relocate our business due to the construction of the Torrens to Darlington Project.
ModelWorld was opened in Twin St in 1989, and over the past 36 years we have made life-long friends and met 1000's of collectors and model builders of Adelaide and across Australia. We thank all of you for your patronage over the years and will notify everyone once an appropriate new location has been found. Wishing you all our very best and we'll see you at the next swapmeet.

As most of you know by now Model World is having to move from our current location, where we have been for the past twenty years. The move has been brought upon us because the Department of Transport is taking over the whole block of units at 4 Deacon Avenue to use as a depot for the great South Road exercise. Our major problem is trying to find a similar property about the same size and for a similar rent, almost impossible. Commercial rents have gone the same way as for residential properties, there are more businesses looking for new premises than there are properties available. We have been given an extension of time to find something suitable, until the end of March 2025. If anybody out there knows of a property, shop, small warehouse, or anything, after all we have taken the current address, an industrial unit, in a block of random businesses and we have made it work please let us know. But now we have to get out. However we are not going to fade away, just this week we have acquired some very interesting plastic model kits for the lead up to Christmas. Yes there will be a Christmas at Model World, we would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas, take it easy, don't over do it and come and see us before, during or after the festive season. Our opening hours and days for that crazy time are Saturday, Sunday Monday and Tuesday the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th of December normal opening hours, if you are not sure, call first 8234 1159. Then closed 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th Wednesday - Sunday, reopening Monday the 30th Dec and into the New Year !
