THE EXHIBITS – A BOLD NEW JAZZ COLLABORATION FROM ADELAIDE’S FINEST - ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM.

Acclaimed jazz artists James Muller and Lyndon Gray join forces in an exciting new quartet, The Exhibits, and are set to release their highly anticipated debut self-titled album on February 28, through Wizard Tone Records.

Featuring saxophonist Tom Noonan and drummer Josh Baldwin to complete the quartet, The Exhibits aim is to push the envelope of traditional jazz forms, as this new body of work showcases a fresh and diverse collection of original compositions, weaving together the mastery of Muller’s guitar with Gray’s double and electric bass in a project that explores the boundaries of jazz composition and improvisation.

The fifth installment from Adam Page's Stasis and Flux series of releases tracks the progress of the second year of research and practice for his PhD on creating new looping pedal techniques that create more fluidity, or flux, to enhance improvised performances.

This live recording was captured in a beautiful and unique setting outdoors as a part of Tom Henry's Nightjar Live concert series on November the 10th, 2024.

"I am very excited to share with you the first of 6 albums I will be producing as a part of my PhD project on looping. This album is a snapshot of who I am as a looping artist now, before the real research and practice begins.

The desired outcome at the end of this 3 year deep dive is to be a completely different musician behind the pedals, which is why an album such as this is so important as it can be a great way to quantify my progress.
