This NAIDOC Week, we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly — a significant milestone recognising five decades of honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, achievements and ongoing contributions.

For 50 years, NAIDOC has provided a platform to celebrate strength, resilience, identity and community. It acknowledges the Elders, leaders, artists, activists and communities who have continued to preserve culture, share stories and create positive change across generations.

As an NDIS provider, Senami recognises the importance of culturally safe and inclusive supports that respect the unique identities, experiences, cultural connections and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability. We are committed to listening, learning and working alongside the communities we support to promote dignity, choice and inclusion.

This NAIDOC Week, we honour the past, celebrate the present and recognise the ongoing strength and leadership of First Nations communities.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

Sixty per cent of NDIS participants walk away from their plan review feeling more confused than when they arrived. That isn't a participant problem — it's a system problem.

Admin complexity, fragmented provider invoices, and budget trackers that don't talk to each other are the daily reality of plan management for thousands of Australian families.

The root cause is what the NDIA calls "low plan literacy" — not knowing which support sits in which category, or how much is left in any given line.

Layer in legacy spreadsheets running next to the new PACE platform, and the result is funding that simply doesn't get used.

Many participants tell us that plan reviews can feel overwhelming and difficult to interpret in practice.

With multiple supports, invoices, and funding categories running at the same time, it’s easy for budgets to feel unclear.

In Plan Management, we often see that the real challenge isn’t access to funding, but understanding how it is being used across different categories in real time.

This is where clear financial visibility matters.

At Senami, we focus on more than processing invoices. We provide:

• Monthly budget summaries in plain language

• Clear category-level tracking

• Regular funding health checks to help identify risks early

• A real point of contact for questions about spending and invoices

If your plan feels unclear or hard to track, you’re not alone.

Comment “PLAN” or contact us to arrange a budget check.
